Spagyric Tincture FAQs
A regular herbal tincture usually extracts only the alcohol- and water-soluble parts of the plant, primarily the Mercury and Sulfur principles. A Spagyric tincture goes further. The remaining plant Body is calcined to a white ash, and its mineral Salts are leached out, purified, and recombined with the extract, restoring the plant's Salt principle to the whole. Alchemists have held for centuries that this makes for a more complete and penetrating preparation, one taken by the drop rather than the dropperful.
A Spagyric tincture is a plant, or sometimes a mineral or animal, taken through the full Alchemical process of separation, purification, and recombination, restoring its own purified Salt to the whole. This process works with the three philosophical principles of the material: Sulfur, Mercury, and Salt, often understood as Soul, Spirit, and Body.
I can't offer medical or personalized dosage advice, but I can share how I work with these myself.
All Zep Tepi solutions are taken sublingually, held under the tongue for good absorption, or added to a small amount of water and held under the tongue before swallowing. Each bottle comes with either an atomizing spray top or a dropper top, depending on the preparation. A spray top delivers a fine, even mist, spreading the solution for better surface absorption at roughly three to four drops per spray. A dropper top suits preparations taken in small amounts or made with resinous material.
I usually work with a few sprays or several drops a couple of times a day, adjusting to the preparation and the need. Everyone's system is different, so it's wise to start small and pay attention before doing more.
Most Spagyric tinctures from Zep Tepi Solutions keep virtually forever and, like a fine wine, tend to deepen and improve with age. A few preparations made with high-water-content or fresh material, such as the Fresh Cilantro Spagyric Tincture and the Elderberry Spagyric Syrup, are best enjoyed within a reasonable window rather than kept indefinitely, though they still keep for a good long while. Store any preparation cool, dark, and sealed and it will keep beautifully. Every Zep Tepi solution is bottled in Miron violet glass, which blocks the visible light that degrades botanical compounds while letting through only the highest violet frequencies, preserving and even enhancing the vitality of the preparation.
